Everyone has a rough day at some point. There is nothing better than receiving something from your boyfriend/girlfriend to brighten up your day. Don’t think that everything you give your partner has to be over $100. Most gifts I have given my fiancee are under $5 (if not free) and she thinks they are great! Here are some little things you can do to keep romance alive in your relationship.

• Write a note on an index card - This one will cost you a whopping penny and 3 minutes. Write about three sentences saying how much they mean to you and give it to them at an unexpected time.
• Leave instant messages -It seems everyone has some version of instant messaging. Chances are your boyfriend/girlfriend is one of those people. Leave them a quick message to let them know you’re thinking about them!
• Leave a voicemail - Take some time and leave them a message when you know they are busy and can’t answer their phone. It’s a great thing to listen to after they are free!
• Send an email - Everyone hates going through their email and seeing 500 spam messages, but it’s great seeing that someone sent you a personalized email - especially if it’s your boyfriend/girlfriend!
• Write them a poem - This one may take awhile, but it will get a great response. Be creative with length and style!

These are just a few ideas to show your boyfriend/girlfriend just how much you care. They don’t take much time to make, but they mean so much!
